MOOISA is a brand that designs their own items and these are produced by artisans in Spain & Turkey and imported to the Netherlands by MOOISA. The products come from, among other things, large slabs of marble and are then sawn into the desired dimensions and glued. After this process, all accessories are polished by hand . Upon arrival in the Netherlands, each product is visually checked by the MOOISA team for defects. If there are no defects, it will only be sent to the customer.

Because MOOISA works closely with their suppliers and keeps a close eye on living trends, they can constantly respond to the latest trends. MOOISA is determined to build a powerful brand in contemporary home accessories made of natural stone, with a strong focus on quality.
Marble is a natural product
Because marble is a natural product and less hard than granite, it is more vulnerable than other types of stone. You should take this into account when using marble trays, for example. MOOISA believes it is important that the marble comes from Europe, so that they can guarantee the quality they have in mind. The reason for this is that our marble must of course be processed into a beautiful accessory. To allow this process to take place in Europe, it naturally makes communication a lot easier. The products are mainly produced in Spain and Turkey and imported to the Netherlands by MOOISA. More explanation is given for each marble product because each color has a different explanation.
Travertine is a natural product
- Where is Travertine (or travertine) found?
In Turkey & an important site is the town of Tivoli east of Rome. Travertine is formed when the CO2 content in the water decreases (for example due to a rise in temperature) and lime precipitates. In nature, travertine occurs in hot springs and geysers, such as Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone and Pamukkale in Turkey.
- What is Travertine?
It is a freshwater limestone with a layered structure , formed by large amounts of lime in hot springs. This structure is created because the lime precipitates in the water and creates a new layer each time. During this process, leaves and twigs fall between the layers and, after they have been digested, leave irregular holes in this material.
The characteristic holes in travertine are also called pores and certainly do not detract from the durability of the freshwater limestone. However, they are the reason why this material has a coarser look and feel than its natural stone 'brother' marble.
Travertine, like marble, is popular as a finish for bathrooms and kitchen countertops, or as a cladding for natural stone floors and walls. But home accessories and furniture made of this material are also making a comeback. In any case, one thing is certain: because travertine lends itself to so many different living styles, it will be a timeless pearl in your interior.
