The face behind Y&M Home Creations

Hi, I'm John, the face & founder of Y&M Home Creations.
As you can see in the photo, I am busy here with, among other things, the website and Mylo regularly joins us. My wife and I adopted her on Bonaire at the end of 2019 and in January 2020 we were finally able to hold her in our arms. She is a really sweet, social dog who likes to be with you. There's a good chance you'll see her in photos more often.

Y&M Home Creations is a webshop that originated from a passion & love for home design with a 'hotel chic' appearance. Partly a result of various hotel visits during city trips and working visits at home and abroad.

What is the philosophy behind our name?
Y&M: You is the customer and Me is the company Y&M Home Creations.
Home: Stands for a Luxury 'Hotel Chic' home styling plus accessories & small furniture.
Creations: Are the products that Y&M Home Creations creates itself.

What are we doing?
We offer luxurious, stylish and chic home accessories with which you can furnish your own dream home in complete style. This style can be described as 'hotel chic' and can be recognized by the use of warm materials, natural tones with a luxurious touch.

We are regularly looking for beautiful gems for your dream home.

We deliberately keep our stock low, so that we can offer a diverse & changing range of current and future trends. We learn the most recent trends by visiting trade fairs and being in contact with trend watchers.

What do we consider important?
We find contact and cooperation with the customer very important. For this reason we are active on Social Media to be in contact with the customer & where we post a selection of our articles and trends.

Creations
We really enjoy being able to sell our own creations in this webshop. That is why the name Creations is in the company name. The first creation we introduced in the webshop were the Dried Flowers.
But we don't want to offer dried bouquets and then end up delivering something else. The concept I came up with is to first make the bouquet, then take photos and a video and offer it in the shop.
So: What you see is also what you get! We did this for a while but we stopped. We noticed that demand was decreasing, especially now that the quality of silk flowers has become much better.
What we do do is focus on Shop The Look. The team then creates entire looks and puts them on the site in their entirety. This way we create very beautiful creations for the customer and the customer is immediately happy with everything in 1.

I hope I can expand my ideas even more with my own creations, but this is some of it!

You get what you see
What I also think is very important is that the customer should know what he/she is getting! That's why we take many photos of each product ourselves! That takes a lot of time, but it is also very fun to do and sometimes it also results in a nice Shop The Look.
Everything you see in the shop is from our own stock or some photos from the supplier. So we change photos a lot and the prices can also change slightly, because we purchase varied.
